Quill Contest Selects Winners

The Crowder Quill contest staff has selected winning entrants for the 2023 publication.

The magazine received nearly 1,000 entries this year. Those entries not published may be re-submitted for consideration in the future.

The Crowder Quill, a literary and art magazine of Crowder College, will be published and mailed to winning entrants by the end of May. The magazine will be available at Crowder College campuses and in the community.

Moving forward, there will not be a ceremony. As the Crowder journalism and public relations program has pivoted to digital media marketing, students will focus on providing digital and social media content rather than hosting a special event.

All published entrants receive a certificate for gold, silver, bronze or honorable mention. Award placements will be announced to the public and on social media by May 1.

Make sure to follow the Crowder Quill on Facebook and Instagram for more updates.

Begun in 1980, the Quill is published each spring; the contest deadline is Feb. 1 each year, and divisions are high school, Crowder, and the community. The categories are fiction, nonfiction, poetry, 2D art, 3D art, digital art, color photography, and black and white photography. The magazine and contest are both free.
