We recognize and honor, Suzanne Prior, a May 2025 Crowder retiree, who has been a valuable supporter of the Crowder Quill during her tenure at Crowder. Prior served as an English/Literature Instructor, Honors Program Coordinator, and faculty adviser for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for 25 years. During her time at Crowder College, she encouraged her students to submit their creative works to the Quill and shared submissions with her classes. She also assisted with the on-site children’s Fine Arts Day that the Quill hosted from 2006-2011 in conjunction with the print publication. Prior was the 2015 recipient of the Excellence in Teaching award and received other outstanding service recognitions. Prior says she proudly displays copies of the Quill on her coffee table. Once retired, Prior aspires to focus on her own creative projects. Maybe there’s a Quill award in Prior’s future to add to her accolades?
