The Crowder Quill, a literary and art magazine of Crowder College, will be published and mailed to winning entrants by mid-May.
All published entrants will also receive a certificate for gold, silver, bronze or honorable mention. Award placements will be announced to the public and on social media by May 1.
Entrants were notified by email the status of their entry in early March.
Students in the Digital Media Marketing program are designing the magazine as application of graphic design principles and also focusing on digital and social media content for entrants.
Make sure to follow the Crowder Quill on Facebook and Instagram for more updates.
Begun in 1980, the Quill is published each spring; the contest deadline is Feb. 1 each year, and divisions are high school, Crowder, and the community. The categories are fiction, nonfiction, poetry, 2D art, 3D art, digital art, color photography, and black and white photography. The magazine and contest are both free, and high school gold winners receive a $500 scholarship.
